First Annual Arts in the Park at Columbia River HS.

Today, May 7th, we participated in the first bazaar/fair of the year at the CR Arts in the Park.  I really enjoyed this venue, first it was at Kat's school, so we bumped into teachers and such, second, it was close to home, so...forget something?  Well, it's just a hop, skip and a jump away.  Thirdly, this is the first time that one of our family members came to visit us.  Thanks Uncle Steve.  You showing up really meant a lot to us.  Next time, let us know, and we will get dinner going?

All in all, not really a busy day, but somehow very successful because it was so relaxed and it was a beautiful spring day.  Sunny, and warm (when you were standing in the sun).  Way better than what some of my family is experiencing in the east coast today.

Happy Mother's day to all.

We Have Launched Our Site

Done and done.  The site's been launched, and it's live  We now have 83 fans on Facebook, and increasing everyday.  We have cajoled, threatened, begged and persuaded our family to join us.  Hahahaha...it wasn't quite all that.  Matt has started a new bag, and the colors are beautiful.  Very autumn, but that's my color pallet, so I totally dig it.  Our one concern now is to try to get into the Portland Christmas Bazaar.  It's going to cost $500!  Wow, that seems so much right now.  Let's see if I can get some orders from the website.  So, if any of our readers have the inclination to buy some stuff, NOW is good.

Matt got called in to work the Muse concert, so I am watching horror flicks with the girls.  Now is a great time to be making some jewelry, but I am being forbidden to make more until we sell some because they will take over our home otherwise.  Tomorrow is Easter, and Kat is making cupcakes to take to her boyfriend's family as an Easter treat.  They have invited her to have dinner with them tomorrow.  She however forgot to put eggs into the first batch, so now, re-doing them all.  I admire the fact that she does want to do it herself.  I adore her even if she can't cook if it meant her life.

Okay, I may write more later.

Tata for now,

Lazy Sunday...

We are about to launch our website, and I (Stephanie), was wondering if it's okay to spam my friends about it. Oh, and by the way, the rest of my merry band of man and teenage girls should soon be contributing to this blog very soon. OMG, that's funny, as I am typing this blog, the spellchecker has just underlined blog in red. I guess I spelled it wrong? There, it just happened again. Silly spell check.

Last night, I created a new necklace, and I'm in such a quandry. I love the darn thing so much, and I don't know whether to sell it or keep it. Since it's been the off season (meaning no Bazaars), I have been stockpiling quite the collection of jewelry, and I really should sell them, but the problem with creating jewelry is that when you create something, you create mostly for yourself. The danger is, you quickly fall in love with those pieces. Sigh. I have included a pic.

Later on, I will make Kat model some pieces so that I can take pics. I would ask Briayne to do it, but since she is away with friends for Spring Break, she can't. If Kat tells me she needs to take a shower and put make up on before she does anything, I'm going to poke her in the eye, hahahaha...

Anway, enjoy your day.

It's been too long, and really, we should be updating this blog a lot more often. Well, as a family we have participated in a few Bazaars over the holidays. Some very successful, some, not so much. I can honestly say, it's been quite the adventure.

The biggest news lately was that we were published in a local paper. Here is the article if you are interested in reading it. http://www.vanvoice.com/article/20590-materials+used+not+wasted

There will be more news later, and we will publish some pics. I promise.
